Since 1985, the Visegrad International Palace Games have been commemorating one of the most important events of the Middle Ages, the 1335 Congress of Visegrad. The event is Hungary’s oldest historical festival and hosts distinguished traditional groups from ten countries of Europe, in addition to the Carpathian Basin. The organisers of the programme welcome visitors for three days of activities, which take place from morning till late evening in five venues – the jousting arena, the Royal Palace, the Royal Wine Court, the Park Stage and the Solomon Tower.
